Light Centre – all centres are as safe as possible so that you can receive therapy safely.

PPE advice from the GCMT (General Council for Soft Tissue Therapists) is being adhered to, Risk Assessments are being done and Daily Cleaning is in place, with thorough cleaning of therapy rooms in-between clients.

You will be asked to kindly wear a mask and sign the Screening & Consent Form before or on arrival, which will be provided. Please bring your own water, pen and mask. Thank you.

New clients will have a phone consultation with Tessa before slot is confirmed. Existing clients will be taken through a risk assessment regarding exposure to Covid-19 for suitability of treatment over the phone.

Upon entry to Light Centre we ask that you please wash your hands and remove your shoes.

Please wear easy to remove clothes. You will be given a container in which to put them when you undress. Please avoid wearing jewellery as this makes the process simpler.

The massage table will have been thoroughly disinfected. The linens are all clean, and you will be encouraged to wear a mask.

I will be using personal protective equipment – until the requirement relaxes – a mask and a visor.

The massage will continue as per usual, though would recommend not chatting to avoid droplet formation.

Tessa will likely exit the building with you so that we can have a chat outside 🙂

When the massage is over, please leave all the linens, towels, and mask on the table – unless the mask is yours. Put your clothes back on and exit again without touching anything. You may also wish to use the bathroom and wash your hands before you put your shoes back on.

Guidance set by Light Centre:

CLIENT-SPECIFIC GUIDANCE:

If your client is feeling unwell or has a temperature they must not enter the building or leave immediately on reporting the symptoms.
On arrival the client should text/ring the therapist to be let into the centre and should plan to arrive right on time, they are not to wait inside the reception area, as seating will not be allowed.
The clients need to wear a mask inside the centre and if they wish to dispose of a mask or gloves they should do so inside the therapy room.
Clients should remain 2-metres from any staff or other clients that may be in the centre at the same time.
Once inside the centre the client should wash their hands.
Reception will take card payments only, please advise your clients that we will not take cash.

THERAPIST-SPECIFIC GUIDANCE:

Social distancing: you will need to work within and respect the social distancing guidelines as set out by the Light Centre.
You must wash hands with soap and water on arrival.
2-metre distance must be kept between you and any other person within our premises at all times except within your treatment room.
PPE must be worn at all times whilst in the premises and PPE – including face masks must be worn by any clients that you bring into the premises at all times.
Light Centre will provide disinfectant and paper towels to wipe. Thorough cleaning between clients as standard.
Bins will be provided and disposable PPE must be placed within the closed bins.
We will not accept any cash payments on reception – contactless payments only.
